Is Your DisneyPlus Account Not Activated?
If you haven’t already gotten your free DisneyPlus trial, check out our page on How to get your DisneyPlus free trial, then come back here to activate your account! Even if you did get the trial, you may not know how to activate it. Luckily, it’s super easy! Just follow these steps and you should be good to go in less than 5 minutes! The website may seem long, but don’t worry; I’ll explain each step along the way.
Step 1 – Get a Free 30 Day Trial
New users who sign up for a free trial must first link their subscription to an existing Disney account. The easiest way to do that is by signing in with your existing DIS or ESPN account. You’ll just need to provide an email address, password, and the first name to start things off. If you don’t have an ESPN or DIS account, you can create one here. It’s completely free and only takes a minute or two.
Step 2 – Download the App
If you want to know how to activate your Disney Plus account, you need to first download the app. You can learn how here. Follow these instructions step by step for Apple users, Google users, and Amazon Kindle Fire users so that you are sure to have no problems with activation. Be sure to use our instructions when downloading so that you’re making sure it is set up correctly and ready for access in a timely manner. One mistake when downloading and activating could delay everything and add frustration when learning how to get started with an amazing service such as Disney Plus! Step 3 – Create an Account
If you don’t already have a Disney account, click Create an Account and enter your email address. Make sure to use an active email address, as you will need to verify it. Next, choose a password. Then, enter some basic personal information such as your name and birthday (the date of which you can change at any time) and select Continue. Once that’s done, you should receive an email from [email protected], asking for permission to add your phone number and/or physical address (if available). It doesn’t matter if you agree or disagree;
we only need these for Step 4 below. Step 2 – Follow Social Accounts: From your dashboard screen, click on Connect with Facebook to link your existing Facebook profile with disneyplus.com login/begin Or sign in with Instagram by clicking Connect with Instagram. This step is optional but highly recommended so that you can connect to friends who are also signed up for Disney+. Your social network info automatically loads onto your profile when connected. For example, if three of your Facebook friends are signed up for Disney+. Their names will appear on your Friends page. You do not need to follow them or like them back; they’re just there to make things easier once you launch into using all aspects of Disney+. Click Done after connecting one social media account.
Step 4 – Activate Your Account
If you’re having trouble activating your Disney Plus account, try signing out of all browsers and devices that you used to register. Make sure that you cleared any cookies or browsing history that may be related to the signup process. Then, if possible, log back in with a different browser (such as Chrome) on a new device (your work computer).
