Blast your opponents into oblivion with these Diep.io-inspired games! The very best. We’re all procrastinators because of io games. Here’s an illustration. A friend called me just the other day. Between ten and thirty. I was still at home, well into my sixth Diep.io match, when an hour had gone. My friend has given up on me completely.
A hardcore Diep’s life is like this. Diep.io, like Agar.io and Slither.io before it, is a free browser game that is absurdly simple yet incredibly addictive. In essence, you are in charge of a 2D geometric tank that moves over a battlefield populated by other online players. You fire (or bash) at random items and use the points you earn to improve your stats. All the more reason to annihilate your foes in a hail of bullets!
Best of all, Diep.io is actually a lot more strategic than it appears at first glance. This is because the way you level up your tank is important. Should you improve your bullet strength first, or should you focus on fast speeding up your movement? You can also choose from a variety of tank classes (such as sniper, machine gun, and so on), which adds to the game’s complexity.
Here’s where the good news comes in. There’s actually a full selection of best io games like Diep.io available for anyone to try if you’re an addict. All of these Diep.io-style games are free to play and offer many of the same features. Here are ten of them!
You’ll cross a wide battlefield, shooting at your sailing opponents, similar to Diep.io. Instead of shooting at random objects, you must simply move over them like you would in Agar.io. These things are Doblons, which are currency that may be used to buy new ship upgrades and armaments.
How you upgrade your ship matters in this game, as it does in most Diep.io-style games. Hull Strength, Canon Range, Movement Speed, and other qualities are available to choose from. In addition, you’ll be able to call on special crews. You can, for example, hire a Fishing Boat to collect cash on your behalf (which is quite handy) or a Man of War ship to fight beside you in combat. There are also a variety of weapon upgrades and styles to choose from.
Gunr.io is similar to Diep.io in that you roam over a big battlefield, trying to outshoot your opponents as you level up. The spaceship you control here, on the other hand, moves at a significantly faster base speed than even fully upgraded Diep.io tanks, making matches a touch more intense. Furthermore, to gather them, you merely need to slide over random things in the Agar.io style. This really frees up your attention so you can concentrate on the fast-paced multiplayer battles at hand.
Tankar.io combines the best features of Agar.io, Slither.io, and Diep.io into one game. In true Agar.io / Slither.io form, you run your tank over things strewn over the arena, steadily getting greater in size. At the same time, you’ll be shooting shots at your adversaries from your spinning tank gun, just like in Diep.io.
Tankar.io is similar to Diep.io in that your movements have momentum force. The bigger you get, the more ungainly you become on purpose – which is part of the fun. It’s extremely amusing to watch tanks grow to such enormous proportions that they no longer fit on the screen (which also means they can’t miss targets!) Tankar.io also has in-game chat, which makes for some entertaining trash talking.
War in Space
Although War in Space isn’t strictly a.io game, it’s clear to see why I included it in this list of Diep.io alternatives. In essence, you are in command of a spaceship that is battling for the red or blue side. You can earn upgrade points by collecting random scrap, which you can spend to strengthen your ship’s main stats and armaments. It’s entirely up to you how you order these upgrades. There’s also a wide selection of 22 different spaceships to choose from, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Some are slow and powerful, while others can move quickly across the map with less potent weaponry.
As I already stated, nonstop Diep.io matches kept me from meeting my pal. If only I had known about Panzer.io at the time! Why? Because it’s a mobile app… which is arguably superior to Diep.io’s own portable version. As a result, you, me, and everyone else may now feed our addictions while on the go. There will be no more excuses.
Panzer.io isn’t afraid to blatantly copy Diep.io in practically every detail (see the app’s official description, for example). Its looks, upgrades, maneuvers, and tank classes are all comparable. There are, nevertheless, some significant variances. To begin with, you can level up all the way to 70, which is quite cool. For better or worse, you have some great music playing in the background. Most importantly, the touch-pad will be your sole means of controlling your tank. This may take a little getting used to at first, but you’ll get the hang of it quickly.
TankWars.io allows you to operate a real tank rather than a generic geometric object. In classic Diep.io form, you crawl over remarkably complex terrains (for an.io game), firing weapons, canons, and missiles at everyone. There are a variety of power-ups to gather, each of which unlocks different bonuses and upgrades. Both the keyboard and mouse are required to coordinate your movement, as is the case with Diep.io’s default setup. There are numerous setup choices available. The multiple special attacks available in TankWars.io are a distinctive feature of the game. You can, for example, launch massive airstrikes on your opponents or employ Vacuums to wipe away your foes. These are actually sufficient to transform a losing battle into a spectacular victory.
Sl4sh.io is a game that mixes features of Slither.io and Agar.io with Diep.io and adds its own spin. You gather points by running over random objects, similar to Slither.io and Agar.io. Then, as in other games like Diep.io, you spend them on improving your HP, damage, speed, and other stats while attempting to take out other online players. Both games share the same geometric artistic style as Sl4sh.io.
However, what sets Sl4sh.io apart is the fact that the projectile weapon you’ll be using is your own body. That’s correct.
GeoArena Online isn’t just a.io game, either. Nonetheless, it has enough similarities to Diep.io to be included in this list. To blast your opponents, you navigate a geometric tank around a battlefield using a keyboard and mouse. There’s also a varied range of weapons and ship types that you may mix and match to create unique strengths and weaknesses.
Wings.io is like Diep.io for those with ADHD – but in a nice manner! You are in command of a plane that is speeding across the sky. When I say speed, I’m referring to the fact that this game is much, much faster than Diep.io. As a result, new Wings.io players will need to acclimatize to the fast-paced nature of each encounter. In Wings.io, you’ll die a lot, but so will the majority of the other players.
Wings.io, like Diep.io, is by far one of the most popular and best.io games. They have a lot in common. However, there’s enough variety in the gameplay to make Wings.io worth playing for its own reason.
KartWars.io, like Diep.io, throws you into a vast multiplayer arena as an ultra-armored kart. Instead, they’re primarily for the sake of bragging rights. The retro color palette of KartWars.io appears to be inspired by old-school cartoons from the 1970s and early 1980s.
You’ll utilize a lot of projectile weaponry to take out your opponents, just like in Diep.io, thus you’ll need a lot of trained targeting (save for honing missiles). There are also a variety of additional valuable power-ups, such as landmines (which are really useful), static charges, and timed explosives, all of which come with well-rendered animations.
Honorable Mentions (Other best IO Games like Diep.io)
Take out your foes by navigating a 3D-rendered isometric maze with your tank! Other games, such as Diep.io, are more addicting. It does, however, provide some quick and easy entertainment. An Android app that boasts of the ability to “improve your diep.io tank.” As a result, you have a good idea of what to expect. Diep.io addicts will appreciate this mobile solution! You might also want to look into War.io, which is one of several games similar to Diep.io. Vanar.io is not one of my favorite games.
I’m sure there are a slew of other great io games out there like Diep.io. Have I forgotten about any of your favorites? If you leave a comment below, I’ll add them to the list.
