A steakhouse might seem like a strange addition to a residential community, but Fielding’s Local is already a huge hit with the residents of Creekside Park Village Green.
The restaurant has been open for about a month and business has been doing great. With New American cuisine, Fielding’s Local Kitchen +Bar boasts a small but beautifully curated menu of fresh ingredients hailing from local farms as much as possible.
The wood-burning oven roasts up a big menu of housemade pizzas and fresh vegetables, while the kitchen cooks up juicy steaks, dry-aged in house.
But in a city packed with ersatz vernacular architecture and chain stores, Fielding’s is a refreshing dose of ersatz vernacular cuisine.
And the food? It’s all ersatz vernacular, too: The opening salvo of crispy pork belly ($15) isn’t quite porchetta, but it will do. In place of foie gras terrine ($14), you get seared Hudson Valley foie gras over nectarines and peaches from Weiser Family Farms in Fredericksburg. Rather than roasted wild mushrooms on brioche ($12), you get grilled portobellos on ciabatta bread with taleggio cheese. Nobody cooks burger-house style.
Fielding’s Local Kitchen + Bar is an upscale, casual neighborhood restaurant that offers lunch and dinner 7 days a week. The menu includes American cuisine with contemporary twists. Enjoy freshly baked artisan pieces of bread, house-milled meats, and the largest USDA Prime steak in Texas plus re-invented desserts set in a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere.

Fielding’s has been successful with their first location at 2026 Westheimer in Houston for over four years. The menu includes modern American cuisine which features steaks from 44 Farms along with handmade artisan pasta and re-invented desserts.
The Woodlands version offers lunch and dinner seven days a week plus late-night dining daily until midnight or later. Happy hour is offered daily with drink specials and discounted appetizers.
Based on the success of Fielding’s Local Kitchen + Bar, Simmons has announced that he will open another location at West Ave in Houston along with six other concepts this year.
