    Hadimba Devi Temple – Shimla

    Hadimba Devi Temple is also one of the most famous ancient temples in Himachal Pradesh and one of the best tourist attractions in Manali. The Temple is dedicated to Hadimba Devi – The wife of the Bheema (Kunti Putra). The architecture of this beautifully carved temple is very glorious. It is also believed from ancient time that the Hadimba Devi meditated at this place for penance where the temple is built.

    Jakhoo Temple – Shimla

    Jakhoo Temple is one of the ancient temples of himachal pradesh situated at Jakhoo Mountain in Shimla at an elevation of 8500 feet from the sea level. A big statue of Hanuman Ji is situated here which is a major landmark of the hill town. It is said that Hanuman ji stopped here to collecting Sanjeevni booti for Laxmana during his mission. Some others said that Hanuman Ji met Sage Yaaku at this hill, who told him about the Sanjeevni booti. The temple remains open from 5:00 am to 12:00 pm and again from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

    Vashisht Temple – Manali

    Vashisht Temple is one of the most famous ancient temples in Himachal Pradesh which is around 3 km from Manali. The place is popular for its natural sulphur Kund. A large number of devotees visit here to take a bath in the Kund. It is also believed from ancient time that Sage Vashisht meditated at the same spot where the temple is located. So it is named to the Sage Vashisht. The temple remains open from 07:00 am to 09:00 pm and Bath Kund available from 07:00 pm to 01:00 pm & again 02:00 pm to 09:00 pm every day.

    Jwala Ji Devi Temple – Kangra

    Jwala Devi Temple is the one of the 51 Shaktipeeths and the most ancient temples in Himachal Pradesh in Kangra district which is mentioned in the Mahabharata and other scriptures. It is believed that Lord Vishnu cutted Sati Body into 51 pieces with Sudarshan Chakra. Out of which her tongue fell on the same spot where the shrine situated. Devotees believe that the goddess manifests as tiny blue flames through fissures in the rock and fulfills the wishes of all those who visit this Temple. Due to the flame burning in the mountains it is known as Jwala Ji Devi Temple.

    Naina Devi Ji, Bilaspur

    Mata Naina Devi Ji Temple is situated at the top of the hill in the Bilaspur District, Himachal Pradesh. It is also one of the 51 Shaktipeeth Temples in India. Raja Bir Chand built this temple in 8th Century on the spot where the eyes of Goddess Sati’s fell down after cutted by Sudarshan Chakra. So it names as Mata Naina’s Devi Temple. Pilgrims can be reached to the temple via road which is connected with National Highway No. 21. A cable car facility is also available to reach at the top of the hill from the base. The best time to visit this temple is from April to October.  The temple remains open from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm.
